Willmott Dixon has won a £7.7m contract to build phase one of this science, art and design block at Oundle school in Peterborough.

The two-storey building, designed by Feilden Clegg Bradley, will hold photovoltaic panels, a solar water heater and a sedum roof that will filter rainwater into a new lake as part of a greywater recycling system. Waste from the project will be used to level a nearby rugby pitch. Max Fordham is M&E engineer, Jane Wernick Associates is structural engineer and Churchman is landscape architect. The scheme will finish in May 2007.
