Two high-rise schemes worth £200m have won planning permission as part of the £1.5bn regeneration of Elephant & Castle in south London.

A 21-storey mixed-use development (pictured above) for Oakmayne Properties will include a hotel, cinema, apartments, shops, restaurants and a market square. It is designed by PKS Architects. The other scheme is a 42-storey cylindrical tower topped by three wind turbines, designed by Hamilton Associates for a Multiplex-Espalier joint venture.
