London’s Stufish practice behind work in Wuhan

Specialist architect Stufish Entertainment Architects has completed its first permanent buildings in China.

The London-based practice is behind a new theatre and a separate indoor theme park in Wuhan in central China.

The schemes are at opposite ends of a 2km-long waterfront plot which is planned to become a new cultural district for the city.

The 2,000-seat Han Show Theatre features moveable auditorium seats, a 10 million litre performance pool and three moveable LED screens mounted on robot arms.

Meanwhile, the Wanda Movie Park features six film-related ‘ride’ attractions including a 4D cinema, 5D cinema, flight theatre, immersive and interactive live performances, and a space theatre.
