Kawneer has enhanced the thermal performance of a series of its doors and windows

Cladding specialist, Kawneer, has enhanced the thermal performance of its AA600TE series of doors and windows. The improvements have been made to the AA®601TEPlus casement window and the AA®601TEPlus swing door. Two new vent profiles and heat shields have been added to the window, which the company says takes the U-value down to 1.5W/m2K. The door has been modified with the introduction of a thermally broken low threshold, an EDPM threshold gasket and the capability to accommodate glazing units up to 51mm thick. This means the door can now accommodate triple glazing units, the company says this takes its U value potentially down to 1.4W/m2K.
