‘Tide beginning to turn’ as new work grows in March despite wet weather

But housing sector slump continues

Construction output grew a modest 0.2% in March, with an increase in new work largely offset by a decline repair and maintenance

The latest figures from the ONS show a total of four out of nine sectors experienced growth, with infrastructure new work (0.33%) and other public new work (0.31%) the main drivers.
