Reid Architecture has unveiled this design for an £8.2 m control tower at Newcastle Airport.

Arup will undertake structural and engineering work on the 43 m high tower. Reid won an invited commission to design the tower. Construction work is expected to start in March 2006 and finish in December 2007.
