This is Atkins’ design for a five-star resort hotel in Lingang, near Shanghai, China.

The island on which it will be built sits in a 500ha circular lake in the centre of the new town. The five “leaves” contain 350 hotel rooms, restaurant spaces and meeting rooms, and are connected by a reception and lobby. The developer is Shanghai Harbour City Group.
