Contractor and developer wins £300m of new social housing work and becomes top three player in the sector.

Contractor and developer ROK today revealed turnover was up by 10% on last year, in a pre-close update.

The news comes as the firm wins £300m worth of new work in the social housing sector – making it one of the top three players in that sector.

The statement said: “The committed order book stands at £330m and overall long-term frameworks, principally for social housing projects, total £1.1bn.”

Rok also revealed its maintenance division had grown strongly, and that the principal investment phase was largely over. It did point out, however, that margin improvements would be weighted to the second half of the year.

Shares rose 4% to 450p in trading this morning.

Rok’s interim results will be out on August 15.
