Vinci has posted a 15% rise in turnover to €15.7bn (£12.4bn) for the first six months of 2008.

The company, which is the parent of Norwest Holst, said turnover for the year was expected to be up 10% on last year, when it turned over €30.4bn (£24bn). Its order book is 5% up on 2007, having reached €22.7bn (£17.9bn).

It said: “Vinci has demonstrated the solidity of its business model.”
