Firm has spent more than two decades leasing Wates House
Wates has bought its Leatherhead head office outright after more than two decades at the address.
The firm had been leasing Wates House in the Surrey town for more than 20 years but said it has now bought the 37,000sq ft site for an undisclosed sum.
Wates said the deal, which was completed at the end of January, represented a “significant investment in both the site and the wider community”.

Chief executive Eoghan O’Lionaird added: “Securing the future of Wates House strengthens Wates’ long-term commitment to Leatherhead and the local area.”
Wates’ main London office is in Drummond Street, close to the Euston Tower which is being redeveloped for British Land by Mace.
Wates is due to release its 2025 results in the next few weeks.
