Wessal Casa-Port: Here’s looking at you, kid

Moroccan King Mohammed VI has unveiled designs for a Foster + Partners-designed tower cluster in the harbour area of Casablanca.  

The scheme incorporates housing, commercial space, a science park and library and a marina to attract tourists and businesses to the country’s largest city.

This month the project secured an additional £440m of backing from investment fund Wessal Capital, taking total equity commitments to £2.1bn with backers including the states of Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

The project is called Wessal Casa-Port.
