£100m investment in distribution network will include a new national distribution centre in Leamington Spa.
Plumbing and heating merchant Wolseley is to invest £100m in its UK distribution network.
Wolseley’s plan involves building a 340,000sq ft national distribution centre next to its new headquarters in Leamington Spa and opening another regional distribution centre in the North West of England.
Wolseley said the additional distribution network capacity would enable it to hold a wider range of products, and lower costs through a fully integrated supply chain and improved logistics management.
The national distribution centre is expected to be operating by summer 2006 and the distribution centre in 2006/7.
