The training division of ConstructionSkills has launched a course called ‘Managing through the downturn’ to equip managers and owners of construction companies with the skills for piloting a business in choppy economic waters

The three days are divided into five modules, focusing on different aspects of staying competitive in a tougher market, including how to revitalise your business, improve productivity at all levels, motivate staff and deal with difficult employment issues. It should also help businesses refocus on customers and set out a clear plan for the next 18-24 months.

Presentations, group exercises and case studies will also address how to implement change firmly and swiftly, improving internal business practices and explain forms of contract, amendments and appendices.
