11:25AM Fast-growing West Country outfit expands

QS and project management outfit Ward Williams Associates (WWA) has started up a new office in Plymouth. Originally established in 1974, WWA practices from bases in Truro and Tavistock as well as from a thriving office in London. The group has a current portfolio of over 250 projects across the UK with a combined construction value in excess of £350m.

The new Plymouth office is located centrally in the city at 10 The Crescent. The company already has a long history of working in Plymouth and has numerous current local contracts including Devington Homes' £20m Azure project on The Hoe and a prospective £27 million residential and commercial mixed development at Sutton Harbour.

Andrew Gilbert, the WWA director who is heading the new office, said: "The time is right for us to have a presence within the heart of the city community. Considering Plymouth's regeneration boom it is only right that one of the Southwest's foremost construction consultancies has an established base here."

The firm said it had also launched a new website and corporate identity.
