First Base and the East Thames Group have just announced the start of a £70m, 462-home development in Stepney Green, east London.

The Levitt Bernstein-designed project is part of the wider £200m Ocean Estate regeneration programme. It will have almost half of its homes sold on the open market, with the remainder either shared ownership or affordable rent.

The first of the First Base and East Thames project’s three blocks is expected to be available in December this year.

Contractor for the programme is Wates Living Space.
