Willmott Dixon has created a new role by appointing Nick Gibb as pre-construction manager. Nick will bring client and contractor teams together at design inception stage and manage the process.

Laura Mulholland, marketing assistant with Midas Group, has been named top post-graduate marketing student in Devon and Cornwall by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Cala Homes Yorkshire has appointed Ray Foster as site manager for the company’s forthcoming developments in Yorkshire.

James Barnes has been appointed land director at David Wilson Homes Eastern.

Tina Chalk has joined Redrow Homes (Southern) as area sales manager, covering developments in East Sussex, Surrey and Berkshire from a Basingstoke base.

Consultants

Neil Chaplin has joined the Leeds office of White Young Green as electrical design engineer, and James Killeen joins the Edinburgh team as a transport planner.

West Midlands-based architect BLB has made David Greenhill and Simon Jones associates.

Bournemouth-based Urban Design practice Terence O’Rourke has appointed a new technical director, Tom Hardie. Also, Javina Medina has joined as urban designer and Helen Moore as planning assistant.

Lennart Jonsson has taken over as president of the Council for Aluminium in Building. Jonsson is managing director of Senior Aluminium Systems.

The Architecture Centre in Bristol welcomes Gillian Fearnyough as its new director. She joins from the Architecture Centre for the East Midlands.
