Yorkon, the off-site construction specialist and Portakabin subsidiary, has made three appointments to its management and business development teams: Andrew Simpkin has been promoted to operations manager, Rebecca Thompson has been appointed commercial team manager, and Tom Weaver becomes business development manager for London and the South-east.

Housebuilders

Cambridgeshire-based Twigden Homes has appointed Robert Frear (left) area construction manager. He will be responsible for six sites in Warwickshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire.

Nicholas King Homes has recruited David Potter, former managing director of regeneration developer Furlong City, as special projects director.

M&E engineer Imtech has appointed Harry Siertsema managing director of Imtech Marine & Offshore.

Consulting engineer Buro Happold has recruited explosives engineer Mark Whitaker to its specialist consulting group. He brings with him over 25 years of experience of the private security industry, counter-terrorism and the British army.

Property consultant Drivers Jonas has promoted Henry Robinson to partner. He joined Drivers Jonas in 2003 as an associate partner in the Frankfurt office.

Non-operated equipment rental company A-Plant has appointed Derek Jones national rail compliance manager.
