Well, last weekend my wife and I escaped the UK snow and general chaos for a nice-sounding hotel in old Valletta.

I was up early in the bright sunshine of the first morning to do a spot of exploration – and did an immediate double take. Opposite the hotel entrance was the Malta Arbitration Centre and next door, by ironic juxtaposition, was the Silicone Implant and Weight Loss Centre. So now we know what counsel might be thinking when they advise: "On the one hand … but on the other".
