David Cash is chairman of BDP
David Cash was elected chairman of BDP in 2012 having spent over 30 years with the practice. Initially appointed as a project architect in Preston, he moved to Manchester in 1994 to take over the leadership of that studio.
In 2008, David became international development director. This involved extensive travel and resulted in new studios being established in the Netherlands, Abu Dhabi, Shanghai and New Delhi.
Throughout his career, David has combined UK-based projects with international work. He has a great interest in the evolution of cities and is a specialist in the design of mixed use developments but has also worked extensively in the education and transport sectors.
