Sketch of the week: 8 Albert Embankment, London

This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Fred Pilbrow, senior founding partner at Pilbrow & Partners. The drawing shows the practice’s new proposals for 8 Albert Embankment, which aim to reflect the history of the area and carefully integrate new buildings with the restoration of the grade-II listed former headquarters of the Fire Brigade on the site.

The scheme will deliver a new fire station, the Fire Brigade Museum, homes, retail spaces and a hotel.
