Upmarket bathroom fittings maker Hansgrohe has brought out a shower unit called Raindance AIR Showerpipe.

It provides a large, fixed showerhead 24cm in diameter and eliminates the need to bury the supply pipe in the wall. The unit fits on to the wall conventionally at waist height with the supply pipe running to the shower head in front of the wall. Raindance incorporates a surface-mounted thermostat and a handshower with a flexible hose.
