Revit piping packages

Wavin has launched its new Building Information Modelling (BIM) content packages for plumbing and drainage. The packages are built on Revit and allows the user to insert pipe systems and to quickly arrive at an accurate “as built” in a BIM project.

Wavin has also added a solution for junctions in a soil and waste system with the option to pre-programme all available junction options. To support users, Wavin has created tutorial videos on a dedicated YouTube channel, a downloadable training manual and training options for Revit modellers.

ARCHICAD Live Connection
GRAPHISOFT has released the Grasshopper–ARCHICAD Live Connection. This bi-directional “live” connection allows Rhino/Grasshopper users to connect to ARCHICAD. The system allows architects to combine the three design environments – Rhino, Grasshopper and ARCHICAD – to combine the early stage design and BIM, allowing basic geometrical shapes to be translated into full BIM elements while maintaining algorithmic editing functionality.

BIM for landscape
The first book to focus on the implementation of BIM processes in landscape and external works, BIM for Landscape, will educate the environment sector, such as clients, contractors and manufacturers throughout the supply chain to understand how they can implement BIM. The book, produced by the Landscape Institute, contains three sections, providing guidance for business leaders, project managers and technicians, as well as a strategic roadmap to achieving BIM for landscape architects. The book explains how BIM processes can be brought into landscape projects to enhance collaboration with other professionals and clients, streamline information processes and improve decision-making.
