This week’s #buildingdoodle sketch is by Sam Clarke, architect at TP Bennett. The Kissing Gates are three installations across Southwark for the London Festival of Architecture. 

Clarke says: “It is fantastic to have the opportunity from the London Festival of Architecture to see my designs come to life in our local area. Architecture is highly contextual but sometimes the anomalies in our urban fabric, such as these gates, create the relief we need from such a vibrant city.”

TP Bennett is encouraging visitors to this year’s festival to share their sights and interactions with the gates across London, using the hashtag #LFAKissingGates. The festival finishes this Sunday, on 30 June.
