Architect Hawkins/Brown has designed this £5.7m cultural centre for Nottingham.
The 1350 m² New Art Exchange will host cultural events, festivals and touring exhibitions, and is organised around a large performance and exhibition space. Its large windows, which show what's going on inside, are intended to establish it as a public work of art. Focus Consultants is project manager, Price & Myers is structural engineer, Furness Green is services engineer and Davis Langdon is quantity surveyor. The scheme is backed by a range of public funds.
