Submission comes alongside another deal to bring forward Hertfordshire data centre scheme
Amazon Web Services has submitted plans for a 330,000 sq ft data centre in Buckinghamshire.
Proposals submitted to the local authority show the tech giant’s plans for the Ridgeway Trading Estate in Iver, a 7ha site roughly 6km west of Slough Town Centre.

All existing structures on the site, which is currently used for industrial, storage and distribution purposes, would be demolished to make way for a two-storey data centre and ancillary buildings.
The plans form part of the company’s £8bn of planned investment in data centres in the UK between 2024 and 2028.
Dublin-based MCA Architects have led on the design, with the project team also including fire engineers CDC, Ethos on M&E, and Cronin Sutton Consulting providing civil and structural engineering advice.
It comes as another developer in the space completed a deal to bring forward the construction of a data centre in Hertfordshire.
DC01UK has sold its South Mimms data centre site to Equinix, one of the world’s largest data centre companies and operators.
With a projected £3.9bn investment, the 85-acre site is set to become one of Europe’s largest data centre developments, with more than 2m sq ft of space.
