Project manager and client Hochtief PPP Solutions to deliver Harrop Ford and Buile Hill high schools

project management company Amec has won a £36m contract to deliver two new schools in Salford.

The company will be working for Hochtief PPP Solutions to design and deliver Harrop Ford High School and Buile Hill High School.

The facilities will include outdoor synthetic sports pitches and areas for games and sport.

John Moss, managing director of Amec's design and project services business, said: “By working closely with Hochtief PPP Solutions and Salford City Council, our integrated design and delivery teams will deliver innovative and inspirational learning environments for the City of Salford.”

Work is due to start immediately and is expected to be completed by the start of the new school year in 2008.
