Wyllie will resign as managing director of Taylor Woodrow Construction to take up chief executive at Costain.

Andrew Wyllie has been appointed chief executive of Costain. The construction group said that Wyllie will replace current boss Stuart Doughty by September 2005.

Andrew Wyllie is currently managing director of Taylor Woodrow Construction and is a member of Taylor Woodrow’s board.

Costain chairman David Jeffries said: “When we commenced the search for Stuart's successor, Andrew was immediately identified as a leading candidate for the job.”

“His experience in the industry and robust management approach make Andrew ideally suited to taking Costain into the next phase of its development.”
