The extension to Madrid’s Prado museum, designed by Rafael Moneo, will open next week.

The scheme has a reception hall, an auditorium and an open courtyard accessible to the public. The extension, which is spread over several levels, includes a second gallery for temporary exhibitions and restoration workshops.
