Foster and Partners has unveiled this plan for the expansion of Queen Alia International Airport in Jordan.

It involves adding two concourse piers, colonnades, gardens, an entrance and a roof covered in black panels to absorb heat and transfer it to pipes. The expansion will allow the airport to process 12 million passengers a year compared with 3 million at the moment. The project is expected to finish by 2030.
