Consultant handed £50,000 from Innovate UK

proud to help leader board

Arcadis has been awarded £50,000 in funding from Innovate UK to provide advice on how public and private sector organisations can safely return to work avoiding transmission of the coronavirus.

The project will focus on multiple measures to avoid spreading covid-19 including scientifically managed accurate rapid and targeted disinfection of high-touch-point surfaces.

The project will evaluate transmission routes and a range of mitigation measures for multiple exposure scenarios.

The team includes environmental scientists with microbial molecular biology expertise, risk assessment specialists, two academic virologists from Liverpool and Edinburgh universities, as well as Arcadis’s industrial hygiene and disinfectant product stewardship experts.

The firm’s expertise in this area comes partly from providing detailed technical support to the United Nations on how to manage coronavirus in developing countries, via its Shelter programme.
