Joint venture awarded second RPC for east of England region.

Joint venture Babcock DynCorp has won a £500m Regional Prime Contract with the MoD covering its estate in the east of England. As prime contractor, Babcock DynCorp will deliver capital works and property maintenance at 26 MoD sites across the whole of the east of England, initially for a seven-year term. If satisfied, the MoD may extend the contract for a further three years.

Babcock DynCorp’s managing director Kevin Thomas said: “This is the second of the Regional Prime Contracts awarded to a Babcock joint venture and shows Defence Estates’ confidence in Babcock Infrastructures Services and our chosen partners’ capability to manage this type of Output-Based Contract. I am confident that the contract represents good value to the Ministry of Defence, Defence Estates and that the service it offers will benefit the end customer with increased levels of service.”
