Construction will begin on development of 390 flats after controversial planning history

Berkeley Homes has officially launched One Tower Bridge, the riverside development between London’s Tower Bridge and City Hall. The four-acre Potter’s Fields development of 390 flats has been designed by Squire and Partners Architects and includes nine blocks ranging from five to 20 storeys. The planning permission granted in 2011 was the last chapter in a controversial planning history which began with an Ian Ritchie scheme in 2000 but repeatedly stalled over cultural amenities and affordable housing provision. Construction began last year.
