Richard Adam will take up post on April 2, while the retiring Chris Girling will remain an executive director until April 30

Carillion has confirmed the start date of its new financial director Richard Adam.

Adam will take up his post on 2 April. He joins Carillion from Associated British Ports Holdings, where he has been group finance director since 1999. He is also currently a non-executive director of SSL International.

Chris Girling will step down as group finance director on 2 April, but will remain an executive director of Carillion until his retirement on 30 April.

Carillion chief executive John McDonough said: “With proven financial and City experience and strong operational and business management skills, Richard will play a leading role in the delivery of Carillion’s strategy for sustainable growth.”
