Architect David Chipperfield has unveiled images of his first museum in the USA.

The 10,000 m2 Figge Art Museum, set on the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa, cost £25.5m and will host its inaugural exhibition later this month. The museum houses galleries and educational spaces as well as a restaurant, museum store, a large lobby for events and a two-storey wintergarden. The structural engineer for the project is Jane Wernick Associates and the services engineer is Arup.
