QS appointed to oversee construction of recycling and energy centre

Davis Langdon has won a contract on a new recycling and energy centre in Peterborough.

Peterborough Renewable Energy said the park will save 600,000 tonnes of CO2 every year and generate enough energy to power 60,000 homes.

Energy Park Peterborough will turn mixed waste into energy and recycled materials such as glass, building blocks and metals.

DL will be the owner’s representative on the construction of the project.

Work will begin on the project in early 2011.
