Plymouth university student Jemma Ham wins New Designer award

Consultant Gleeds sponsored the New Designers exhibition held at the Business Design Centre in London this month.

Richard Steer, senior partner at Gleeds, said: “Gleeds is delighted to be sponsoring New Designers at a time when the evolution of design talent has never been more significant.”

The consultant sponsored the Spatial Design Zone at the exhibition that showcases the work of graduate designers from across the country.

Gleeds also presented the New Designer award to Jemma Ham from University of Plymouth.

Steer said: “We are keen to celebrate and help recognise some of the finest graduate architects and designers, who will inevitably shape our landscape for years to come.”

The award goes to the exhibitor regarded as best showing a respect for the built environment, innovation and creativity, and a consideration for sustainability in their designs.

The New Designe winner receives £1,500, a paid work placement in the Gleeds project management division and 12 months membership to newdesignersonline.co.uk.
