Grenfell Inquiry hears that official did “nothing” to scrutinise claims by businesses that scheme would be too costly
A senior government official has admitted to “parrotting” claims made by businesses that regulating fire risk assessors would carry too great a cost burden.
Louise Upton told the Grenfell Inquiry that she did “nothing” to scrutinise claims made by industry groups that introducing an accreditation scheme for assessors would be “disadvantageous” and “unfair” for businesses.
