Project manager on Penoyre & Prasad scheme in central London is Mace

Project manager Mace is set to start work on a scheme to build a new teaching centre for Birkbeck College in the middle of London after it was given the green light by local planners.

A six-storey 1920s building on the Euston Road called Cambridge House will be refurbished and extended to provide nearly 2,000sq m of space.

A lecture theatre will be located in the rooftop extension under plans drawn up by architect Penoyre & Prasad.

Other members of the project team include cost consultant Artelia UK, services consultant Skelly & Couch and transport consultant Alan Baxter.

The scheme will also include a cafe and learning hub.
