Tim Roberts has been at business since 2020

Henry Boot has said that its chief executive of the past six years Tim Roberts is stepping down.

The developer and housebuilder said Roberts will leave later this year and is being replaced by Edward Hutchinson, currently interim managing director of Stonebridge Homes. Hutchinson joined the business in 2004 and was made managing director of its developments business in 2018.

Henry Boot said: “Tim will work alongside Ed to provide a comprehensive handover and enable a smooth transition. A further update confirming the timing of these changes will be made in due course.”

During his time at the firm, Roberts has overseen the acquisition of Stonebridge and the sale of Boot’s construction arm to its management last year.

In its last set of results, Henry Boot said turnover was down 9% to £251.5m in 2025 with pre-tax profit down 21% to £26m.
