RSPCA vetos cat adoption after airgun attacks on estate pets

A Kent family been told by an animal charity that they cannot rehome a cat because their housing estate is too dangerous for the animals.

The Horton family from the Stanhope Estate in Ashford applied to the RSPCA to adopt a cat but were rejected because of the number of airgun attacks on animals in the area.

The RSPCA said this was a one-off case.
