Mark Collins will step down from the board in November because he is is 'no longer required'

Developer Land Securities’ group chief operating officer has stepped down form his job as he is “no longer required”.

Mark Collins will step down from the board and leave the group in November after over four years service.

Land Secs chairman Peter Birch said it was the success of Collins’ reorganisation of the group that had led to his departure. He said: “This period has seen great organisational change for the company in which Mark's management skills have proved invaluable.

"He has also played a key role in the increased level of transactional activity, most notably the property swap with Slough Estates and the corporate acquisition of Tops Estates.”

Collins agreed that his time with Land Secs was up. He said: “I feel that I have fulfilled my brief and therefore look forward to a new challenge.”
