L&G hires two housing delivery bosses

Legal & General (L&G) has created two new roles as it seeks to ramp up is modular housebuilding operation.

The investor - which last year unveiled plans to deliver 3,500 flatpack homes a year from a 550,000 sq ft factory in Yorkshire - has appointed Damon Brown as a construction manager and David Jones as modular integration director.

Brown, who joins from Essential Living, will be responsible for overseeing the construction activities within L&G’s principal urban regeneration projects and assist with L&G’s wider housing initiatives, including its investments into Build-to-Rent and Build-to-Sell. 

Jones joins the business from Berkeley Homes and will be responsible for matching the investor’s factory with clients.

L&G said its modular housing business “seeks to modernise the home building industry by producing modern, precision-engineered manufactured units”.
