Piercy & Co-designed scheme was given planning four years ago
Northern Irish contractor McAleer & Rushe has won a £52m deal to redevelop an office in Kensington for health charity the Wellcome Trust.
The scheme at 80 Pelham Street has been designed by Piercy & Co and involves turning an existing four-storey office, built in the 1920s and added to in the 1950s, into a five-storey scheme running across 114,000sq ft.
The design includes green roofs and terraces as well as improved public realm while existing gym facilities will be retained.
Others working on the job, which is scheduled to finish in October 2027, include cost consultant Core Five, planning firm DP9, M&E engineer Watkins Payne and project manager M3. Watermans is structural engineer.
The job was given planning by Kensington & Chelsea council nearly four years ago.
Erith has been on site carrying out demolition and enabling work with this expected to finish next spring.
