Morgan Est, the infrastructure services division of Morgan Sindall, has won two contracts worth up to £340m for a five year period.

It has been selected by Severn Trent Water as one of its preferred suppliers for a number of projects in south Warwickshire, Birmingham, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire.

The work, which is expected to start in April 2005, is valued at between £15m and £20m a year.

It will involve non-infrastructure, process-related civil engineering and mechanical and electrical installation projects.

In the second win, National Grid Transco has appointed Morgan Est on a professional services contract for its Birmingham Alliance project. Morgan is in joint venture with consultant Parsons Brinckerhoff, systems provider Glendee and training consultant Utilise. The consortium is one of four bidding for part of NGT’s £1.8bn of gas replacement work – the largest gas renewal scheme ever in the UK.
