Six-month pre-tax profits £2.4m and turnover £86.5m at North Midland Construction

North Midland Construction saw pre-tax profits rise 36% to £2.4m for the first six months while turnover grew 26.3% to £86.5m over last year’s interims.

Chairman, Robert Moyle said: “All the constituent elements of the Group are trading profitably with both North Midland Building and Nomenca, the mechanical and electrical subsidiary, producing record half-yearly results both in respect of revenue and profitability.”

He added: “Whilst civil engineering and utilities suffered from a slow uptake in revenue, the highways division delivered a solid return.”

The figures give the construction company a margin of 2.8%.
