Stirling-based construction and vehicle fleet management group sees profit rise to £4.4m.

Profits at the Ogilvie Group went up 63% to £4.4m from £2.7m in the year ending June 2005 with turnover increasing by £16m to £147m over the same period.

The Stirling-based construction and vehicle fleet management group saw construction and housebuilding contribute £93m to its total turnover, up £3m year-on-year.

Group chief executive Duncan Ogilvie said greater efficiency and a strategy of developing joint ventures has been key to the company’s success.

The firm has seen growth in each of the last five years and Ogilvie added that getting more involved in public private partnership (PPP) projects will be key to continuing this into the future.

The Ogilvie Group is leading the £30m regeneration of Glasgow Cross due next year.
