One man confirmed dead and another seriously injured in accident
A man has died and another has been seriously injured after an industrial accident at a Glasgow city-centre construction site, the BBC has reported.
Emergency services were called to the scene where a crane reportedly collapsed in Buchanan House in Port Dundas Road, Glasgow, at about 12.30pm on Wednesday.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Ambulance Service said the man was confirmed dead at the scene and another has been taken to the city’s Royal Infirmary for treatment to a head injury.
The building – which houses offices for Network Rail and Transport Scotland – has been undergoing refurbishment work.
