Hopkins Architects has come up with designs for the proposed regeneration of the Nottingham's Eastside area. The focus will be on a stretch of the Nottingham canal. The site, named The Island, will be packed with bars, restaurants and homes, and is planned to begin next year. The development will be connected to Nottingham by the city's tram service. Project consultants include planning consultant David Lock Associates, infrastructure and transport engineers BWB Partnership, cost consultant Gleeds Management Services, environmental engineers Wardell Armstrong International and building services engineers Waterman Gore.
