These are the first images of St Pancras station, which is en route to becoming London’s main Channel Tunnel Rail Link terminal.

Last week a £181m double contract for track and overhead power-systems was handed over by Carillion, Alstom and Travaux du Sud-Ouest. The station is undergoing a £400m refurbishment and extension by a consortium of Costain, Laing O’Rourke, Bachy Soletanche and Emcor Rail, with London & Continental Railways as client and architect.
