Deal with Ashley House will see construction of new health centre in Poplar

Primus, the company founded by the former boss of Wembley Stadium builder Multiplex, has won a £5.3 million NHS health scheme in east London.

The deal for healthcare specialist Ashley House, which has interests in seven NHS LIFT companies including the East London LIFT Company, will involve building a new health and wellbeing centre in Poplar.

Completion of the building, which will eventually be run by NHS Tower Hamlets, is due in early 2012.

Former Multiplex UK chief executive Martin Tidd set up £55 million turnover Primus more than three years ago.
